CONSTITUTION:A DC motor 11 is connected to a three-phase power source 116 through the intermediary of a three-phase inverted parallel inverter 114, and when an actuating mode is switched in the control circuit, with which an ignition control will be performed on the inverter 114 using a digital controlling section 122, the average value of an armature current Ia is detected and compared with the prescribed level. This prescribed level is to be experimentally set at the value at which the armature current will flow intermittently without fail after one ignition pulse when the armature current average value falls below the prescribed level. And when the armature current average value becomes below the level value, an ignition pulse is gate-blocked, and then the current polarity is reversed by switching the actuating mode.
