Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size and the cost of a motor by closing the terminals of the motor through switching means for driving the motor and inversely directed continuity means connected in parallel with the switching means, and stopping the motor. CONSTITUTION:A bridge circuit having 4 transistors Tr1-4 of switching means is connected between both terminals of a DC power source 10 by a motor stopping method and both terminals of a DC motor 14 are connected to the intermediate point of this bridge circuit. The Trs1, 2 from switching means of high potential side as seen from the power source 10, controlled to be ON, 0FF by control means, diodes D1-4 are connected in parallel with the Trs1-4, and a capacitor 12 is connected in parallel with the power source 10. Thus, when the motor 14 is stopped, the Trs1-4 of high potential side are turned OFF, and the Tr3, 4 of low potential side are intermittently turned ON, OFF. A regenerative current of motor flows through the diode D3 and the Tr4 to rapidly stop the motor 14.
