Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate uniform fuel distribution in the cylinder and promote atomization by partitioning the carburetor into primary and secondary sides with a partition extended into the cylinder head, and installing in the secondary side passage a slow fuel passage which is connected to the primary side passage.
CONSTITUTION: The carburetor 1 consists of a secondary side carburetor 9 of large diameter and a primary side carburetor 8 of small diameter which is installed in the secondary side carburetor 9. Both carburetors 8, 9 are extended into the cylinder head 23, a while primary side throttle valve 13 is installed in the downstream of a Venturi 10 and a secondary side throttle valve 14 near the cylinder head 23. A slow fuel passage 57 opens in the vicinity of the secondary side throttle valve 14, and a part of the passage 57 is also connected to the primary side suction passage 15 through a passage 58 and an opening 59, to help slow injection in the secondary side.
