Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase both the safety and the economical efficiency of a sequence controller, by actuating an internal relay based on a detected fault and carrying out the fault process through a fault process program of the sequence controller. CONSTITUTION:A sequence instruction 3a stored in a program storage part 3 is read through a program reading part 1 and supplied to an arithmetic part 4. The part 4 reads a desired data 5a out of a data storage part 5 by the instruction 3a and calculates it, and the result of this calculation is written into the part 5. When the execution of this program is over, the part 1 produces an address signal 2a to the part 5, an input circuit 6 and an output circuit 7 respectively and calculates at 4 the signal given from the circuit 6 to deliver it to the circuit 7 via the part 5. When a fault is detected, through a fault detecting circuit 8, a fault signal is delivered to a fault input circuit 10. At the same time, a fault address detecting circuit 9 detects a fault and then detects the address of an internal relay to supply it to the circuit 10. The circuit 10 designates the address which stores an internal relay of the part 5 and actuates the internal relay to carry out a fault process.
