Abstract
PURPOSE: To lower the electric power consumption of a motor, by using a variable speed motor as a drive motor for a cooling water-feed pump, and controlling the rotation number of the motor in accordance with the flow amount of cooling water passing through a flow amount-control valve.
CONSTITUTION: When flow amount-setting signals Q1, Q2 are generated by flow amount setters 12, 13, a rotation number setter 18 generates a rotation number- setting signal S on the bases of these flow amount-setting signals. A rotation number controller 17, while comparing the signal S with a motor rotation number-detected signal by a speed generator 16, controls the rotation number of a variable speed motor 3, and a pump 2 injects a slightly bigger flow amount of cooling water than a required spray flow amount. On the other hand, since the flow amount-setting signals Q1, Q2 are also fed to flow amount controllers 9, 11, output signals corresponding to the deviations of slow amount detected signals by electromagnetic flow meters 8, 10 from the flow amount-setting signals are fed to flow amount-control valves 6, 7. Consequently, the opening rates of the valves are controlled, and a required amount of cooling water is sprayed.
