Abstract

PURPOSE:To vary the effective resistance of a resistor mounted onto a substrate by forming a plurality of openings just above the resistor of an insulating film covering the resistor and shaping a conductor conducted with the resistor to the optional opening. CONSTITUTION:The openings 14-19 formed to the insulating film shaped onto an upper surface of the resistor 12 include both ends of the resistor 12, and the optimum value, the minimum value and the maximum value of resistance value calculated can be selected. The conductors 20, 21 are mounted onto the insulating film of the resistor 12. The conductor 20 is conducted with the resistor 12 through the opening 19 and the conductor 21 through the opening 14. When decreasing effective resistance value, the effective resistance of the resistor 12 can be varied to resistance corresponding to the length of the openings 17, 19 by changing a mask pattern for the conductors so that the conductor 21' contains the openings 14-17.
