Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a gas detection element having high mass productivity, by fixing a pair of a square pillars made of heat-resisting porcelain and having electrodes on the upper and lower faces leaving a prescribed space and connecting both electrodes with a platinum wire and then, covering this platinum wire with a gas sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A pair of square pillars provided with electrodes 2, 2' on both faces of alumina substrates 1, 1' is melt-stuck at the cental part by glass containing an organic binder leaving a prescribed space. Next, both electrodes of the upper face of the substrate and that of the lower face of the substrate are connected with the wires 3, 3' respectively.
