Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a parallel process for a control of execution of software instructions and a storage of a part of the firmware instruction group stored in a main memory into a control memory, by providing a specific means that stores the firmware instruction group into the control memory. CONSTITUTION:A data processor carries out a control of execution of a software instruction in division into a hardware control and a firmware control. A means, which is started by a load firmware instruction, i.e., a software instruction that stores a part of the firmware instruction group stored in a main memory 10 and then stores a part of the firmware instruction group into a control memory while a control of execution of the software instruction is carried out by a hardware control, is provided to the above-mentioned data processor along with a means that reports an end of storage to the software. For instance, the above-mentioned means are incorporated into a data processor comprising a main memory 10, a memory control unit 11, a memory buffer unit 12, a control storing unit 13 including a control memory, an instruction execution unit 14 and others.
