Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a sintered oil-contg. roller chain bush with high strength high hardness, superior lubricity and superior wear resistance by adding a specified percentage of Cu, Cr, P and C to Fe, providing a specified oil content, and forming a surface hardened layer.
CONSTITUTION: A product having a composition consisting of by wt., 1W7% Cu, >1.5W2.5% Cr, 0.1W1% P, 0.5W1% C and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is manufactured. The oil content is regulated to 5W35vol%, and a surface hardened layer is formed. Since a powder metallurgical method is applicable, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
