Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a sintered oil-contg. roller chain bush with high strength, superior wear resistance and lubricity by adding a specified percentage of Cu, Cr, C, P, B and Si to Fe, providing a specified oil content, and forming a surface hardened layer.
CONSTITUTION: A product having a composition consisting of, by wt., 1W7% Cu, 0.2W2.5% Cr, 0.5W1% C, 0.1W1% P, 0.05W3% B and/or Si and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is manufactured. The oil content is regulated to 5W35vol%, and a surface hardened layer is formed. Since this product is manufactured by applying a powder metallurgical method, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
