Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a sintered hard alloy particles binding alloy with superior performance for manufacturing a wear resistant material by adding a specified amount each of Zn and one or more among Ni, Co, Ti, Pt, Mg and Mn to Cu as a principal component.
CONSTITUTION: Case 3 is made of mild steel or the like easy to weld and cleaned by pickling. Sintered hard alloy particles consisting of carbides of W, Ti, Ta, etc. are coated with borax, put into a molten binding alloy having the following composition, mixed, and dispersed uniformly by agitation. The binding alloy consists of 10W50% Zn, 1W5% in total of one or more among Ni, Co, Ti, Pt, Mg and Mn, and the balance Cu. Molten binding alloy 2 contg. uniformly dispersed sintered hard alloy particles 1 is poured into case 3, solidified, and pressed to manufacture a material for the bowl tip of a bulldozer. The resulting wear resistant material has superior wear resistance and toughness, and little particles 1 fall out of the material.
