Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the titled alloy comprising Sn and two or more of elements containing Cr out of Cr, Si or Mn in a predetermined ratio respectively of which fatigue resistance and abrasion resistance are enhanced by reducing hardness reduction at a high temp. as well as by preventing growth of a Sn particle.
CONSTITUTION: The Al-Sn type bearing alloy consists of, in the wt% bases, 7W 35% of Sn, 1W10% of two or more of additives containing 1.0% or more of Cr out of Cr, Si, Mn, Sb, Ti, Zr, Ni, Fe, W, Ce or Nb and the remainder of Al. The most pref. composition range of this bearing alloy is shown as described below when all properties such as casting property, rolling property, adhesiveness with a lining metal, processing property, burning resistance or abrasion resistance are considered. That is, Sn is 7.5W25%, the additives group is 1.0W6.0% Cu, 0.1W2.0% Mg and 0.5W5.0% Pb, Bi, Tl, Cd, In.
