Abstract

PURPOSE: To distill an easily polymerizable liquid by connecting an evaporation pipe having outer heating means provided to an upper and a lower parts of an evaporation surface thereof and a condenser by a conduit having a heating means to prevent the generation of a polymer.
CONSTITUTION: An evaporation boiler 10 is equipped with an outer heating means such as a heating jacket 11 and heats a liquid 12 to be distilled in an evaporation boiler 10 from the outside. An upper end 14 of the heating jacket 11 is always positioned above a liquid level 13 of the liquid 12 to be distrilled to keep a gasliquid contact surface to a mild heating temp. and, thereby, generation of a polymer is prevented. To a part corresponding to a gas phase space part 15 above the liquid evaporation level 13 of the evaporation boiler 10, a second outer heating means 16 is also provided so as to prevent such a phenomenon that a vapor is condensed in a wall of a gas phase part or the like of the evaporation boiler 10 and a condensed liquid is polymerized on said wall in a condition free from a polymerization inhibitor. The vapor evaporated in the evaporation boiler 10 is held under a super heated condition and reached to a condenser 22 through a conduit 21 having a heating jacket 23 but a polymer is prevented from being formed on and adhered to a pipe wall of the conduit 21 by the heating jacket 23.
