Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a mixed flow of liquid and gas into a plain thin film spreading sectorally and to distribute said flow uniformly, by injecting the liquid into a spirally-whirling gas flow in a mixing cylinder and, together by giving the liquid a velocity component in the longitudinal direction along the arc of a slit. CONSTITUTION:Gas is introduced into a mixing cylinder 2 from a feeding pipe 4 of which the legs are connected tangentially to the circumference of the cylinder 2 to form a spirally whirling flow 7 of the gas flowing along the internal surface of the cylinder 2. On the other hand, from a liquid feeding pipe 5 attached at the inside of the gas feeding pipe 4 which is formed into an inverse U shape, and connected by its legs tangentially to the circumference of the cylinder 2, the liquid such as water is introduced into the cylinder and is injected tangentially to the outside of the whirling gas flow to be mixed with the gas. The whirling flow of the gas reaches a slit 3 obliquely to have the velocity component in the longitudinal direction along the arc of the slit 3 when it blows out of the slit 3; and the gas is injected out of the slit.
