Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce wear on the wall surface of a fluid passage in the fluid transporting apparatus using the high-pressure fluid injection nozzle that is suited for use in drawing up sewage or transporting sand, mud or the like, by connecting a suction pipe and a discharge pipe of the apparatus via a speed reducing chamber having a sectional area larger than that of the suction pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The suction pipe 11 and the discharge pipe 12 are connected via the speed reducing chamber 13 having a sectional area larger than that of the suction pipe 11, and a nozzle 14 for injecting high-pressure fluid is attahced to the wall of the speed reducing chamber 13 in the manner that it is directed toward the discharge pipe 12 and the center of the nozzle is located on the center line of the passage. Further, an inner pipe 8 constituting a wear resisting wall, made of a material suited for the substance to be handled, is inserted in the discharge pipe 12 in freely replaceable manner. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to reduce the velocity of fluid drawn from suction pipe 11 and to protect the inner walls of the speed reducing chamber and the discharge pipe at its inlet part against wear by the function of the wear resisting wall.
