Abstract
PURPOSE: To convey out sand and soil efficiently and sink the caisson with continuous transportation and excavation of sand and soil by conveying out sand and soil excavated utilizing a gas mixture jet pump.
CONSTITUTION: Excavation is made discharging underground water with high pressure air being sent into the working chamber 2 of the caisson 1. For the method of sinking the caisson 1, the open air introducing tube 10 is connected open to the protective cylinder 9 surrounding the high pressure water jetting nozzle 8 while the protective cylinder 9 is connected to the carry-out tube 11 both coaxially centered. Sand and soil yielded in the working chamber 2 is conveyed out continuously by means of a carry-out device employing the gas mixture jet pump 6 with one end of the suction pipe 12 connected to the carry-out tube 11 located close to the connection.
