Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A spiral auger 10 is inserted into a hollow concrete pile P to be sunk, and is connected to a prime mover 11 to sink the pile P as the auger 10 excavates a ground. Water is fed by pressure into a hollow shaft 12 in the auger 10, and the ground is escavated in a diameter being slightly larger than that of the pile with the jet of water through a nozzle to sink the pile. Instead of water, compressed air may be blown through.
