Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of the amount of flowing fuel or auxiliary air due to dust in the auxiliary air by a method wherein the auxiliary air is introduced to the downstream of the stream of injection while whirling it. CONSTITUTION:A tapered mixing chamber 19, mixing the air and the fuel, is formed in a holder 11 at the downstream of a nozzle 10a and the tip end, defining the minimum sectional area of the tapered mixing chamber 19, constitutes an orifice 20 having a predetermined size. A plurality of air introducing holes 17 are provided around the mixing chamber 19 under a condition that they are arranged eccentrically with respect to the center thereof and are inclined toward the tip end of the taper. The auxiliary air is introduced into the mixing chamber 19 at the downstream of the nozzle 10a of a fuel injection valve 10 and is directed toward the orifice 20, therefore, the dust in the air may hardly be adhered to the fuel nozzle 10a even though the dust is being mixed into the air and the clogging of the nozzle 10a may be prevented.
