Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate shocks and improve the feeling of drive by a device wherein a control valve is disposed in each intake pipe of a manifold in communication with each cylinder and the respective control valves are properly selected in their opening and closing timing so that they are opened to such a extent as momentarily exceeding a range of ununiform combustion in the initial stage of opening.
CONSTITUTION: Control valves 21W23 are disposed in intake pipes 11W13 of a manifold, respectively, and the valves 21W23 are interlocked with a throttle valve 3 in such a manner as follows. The control valve 21 is normally urged in its closing direction by a tension spring 71 and opened by an interlocking lever 91 interlocked with the throttle valve 3 through a rod 81 or by a negative pressure actuator 101. This actuator 101 causes the control valve 21 to be opened to a given opening degree in the idling operation. The control valve 22 is caused to open to a given opening degree by a negative pressure actuator 102, when the throttle valve 3 is opened to an opening degree for the middle speed operation. Thereafter, the control valve 22 is interlocked with the throttle valve 3 through a lever 52 rod 82 and other members. The control valve 23 is opened in rod 82 and other members. The control valve 23 is opened in the high speed operation in the same manner as above.
