Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid invasion of an electrically insulating material into a photoconductive layer and production of bubbles between the layers, and to form an electrophotographic receptor superior in characteristics, by sticking an insulating thermoplastic resin film to a microporous photoconductive layer by heat melting. CONSTITUTION:An insulating thermoplastic resin film, such as a nylon film, is coated by heat melting on a microporous photoconductive layer 2 consisting of photoconductive particles, such as Se or polyvinylcarbazole particles, and a binder resin, such as epoxy or urethane resin, formed on a conductive substrate 1. An electrically insulating layer 3 is thus formed, or it may be formed by hot-melt-coating a thermoplastic resin film on said layer 2, using this film as a gap filling layer, and coating an epoxy or urethane resin, or the like on this film.
