Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the correct decision for a target with a small number of elements, by supplying a video signal into a comparator via the 1st and 2nd integrators and then comparing it with the target detecting threshold level to detect the target. CONSTITUTION:The radar video signal supplied from a radar receiver is supplied to an A/D converter 20 via an amplifier 10. The digital video signal, i.g., the output of the converter 20 receives an addition of all subrange bins in the same range bin by the 1st integrator 30 of the next stage to be sent to the 2nd integrator 70. The integrator 70 gives a PRT integration to the subrange bin groups added in a range bin section with each equal range bin. Then the value of the noize range bin is subtracted through a subtractor 76 and delivered to a comparator 60 of the next stage. If this value exceeds the target detecting threshold level, it is furthermore delivered to a target detector of the next stage for the final target detection. In such way, a large number of registers are eliminated to ensure the correct decision for a target with a small number of elements.
