Abstract
PURPOSE: To extract the middle point of the black signal in the picture signal with no error, by deciding the differential value from the sample row of analog signals and then detecting the significant extreme value point.
CONSTITUTION: The analog signal is supplied through input terminal 1 and then sampled through sampling circuit 2. This sampling output is supplied to delaying circuit 3 and subtractor 4, and the differential signal of the sample value is delivered from subtractor 4. This output is supplied to amplitude comparators 5 and 6 as well as to polarity decider 7. Comparator 5 delivers D=1 or 0 in case the input signal is less or more than threshold level -Δ1; while comparator 6 delivers U=1 or 0 in case the input signal is more or less than threshold level Δ2 each. The outputs of comparators 5 and 6 are supplied to shift registers 8 and 9 each, and the output of the shift register is given the logic product by AND circuit 12 and via OR circuits 10 and 11. On the other hand, the signal supplied to decider 7 is converted into 1 and 0 according to its plus or minus each. Minimum point detecting circuit 14 detects the minimum point based on the data of shift register 13 in case the output of circuit 12 is 1.
