Subsequently, the blocks 8, 9 are butted by use of a suitable jig 16, a glass rod 15 is inserted into the notch grooves 11, 12, heat treatment is executed at 680 deg.C for 5min, the glass rod 15 is melted, and they are formed in one body. In this way, dirt of an organic matter which is stuck during the working process of a core material, by which air bubbles are caused is decomposed, and generation of air bubbles in glass is prevented completely.
