Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the manufacturing process of a magnetic head,by welding metallic plates to both surfaces of a couple of cores, arranged opposite to each other across a gap, over both the cores. CONSTITUTION:A couple of cores 1a and 1b formed of metallic materials, such as ''Sendust '', nearly in a channel shape are provided with windings 2a and 2b, and a gap forming member is sandwiched between the opposite surfaces of the tip parts of those metallic cores 1a and 1b to form a gap 3. Metallic plates 4 and 5 are fitted to both surfaces of the cores 1a and 1b, which are sandwiched. The metallic plates 4 and 5 have arms 4a and 5b, each extending horizontally from one side part, in one body. Fitting holes 4c and 5c for a magnetic head are formed at the tip parts of the arms. The metallic plates 4 and 5 are united with the cores by spot welding. Thus, the magnetic head consists of a couple of cores with windings and a couple of metallic plates, so the constitution is simplified because of less used parts, and a fixing process by resin is unnecessary, simplifying a manufacture process.
