Abstract

PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a magnetic recording medium by improving fittingness between a magnetic disk and a disk driver, by constituting the peripheral part of the drive spindle hole of the magnetic disk by using a different material from a part which performs magnetic recording. CONSTITUTION:At the peripheral part of the drive spindle hole of a magnetic disk 2 inserted into a jacket 1, a reinforcing pad 9 made of synthetic resin which has a coefficient of thermal expansion close to that of the disk and enough strength is provided.
