Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit correction for the interruption due to suspended matter or the like by measuring with different two measuring systems using a single wavelength of ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION:Ultraviolt rays generated from a single light source 1 go through a slit plate 2 and pass through a cell 3 for measurement. Further, a part of light in the first optical path L1 and the second optial path L2 is absorbed in the ultraviolet rays by organic matter and others in a sample 13 to be measured flowing in the cell 3, and is attenuated and further a change in the quantity of light is detected by means of light receiving parts 4, 7. These transmitted optical signals are fed into an arithmetic part 6 via logarithmic amplifiers 5, 6. And, setting is performed such that attenuated light obtained by arranging the first light receiving part 4 seeveral an apart from the cell 3 for measurement and attenuated light obtained by putting a focusing plat 8 between the light receiving part 7 and the cell 3 for measurement are made constant, and absorbant removing the influence of suspended matter SS is calculated by means of the arithmetic part 6 for indicating on an indicator 12. Hereby, treatment is simplified and measuring accuracy is also improved.
