Abstract

PURPOSE:To use an integrated circuit of a low speed and a low power consumption and to obtain a high-precision detector, by converting the frequency of a modulation wave to that of the base band and extracting inphase components and orthogonal components and subjecting them to the digital signal processing. CONSTITUTION:Base band components obtained by causing the multiplication result between the modulation wave inputted from a terminal and the output of a local oscillator 7 to pass through an LPF10-1 and base band components obtained by causing the multiplication result between the modulation wave and the output, which is obtained by shifting the output of the oscillator 7 by a 90 deg. phase shifter 9, to pass through an LPF10-2 are subjected to A/D conversion in 11-1 and 11-2 respectively to obtain the first and the second signals. The first and the second signals are delayed by memories 12-1 and 12-2 respectively to obtain the third and the fourth signals, and a signal obtained by multiplying the second and the third signals and a signal obtained by multiplying the first and the fourth signals are subjected to subtraction to obtain the first detection signal, and a signal obtained by multiplying the first and the third signals and a signal obtained by multiplying the second and the fourth signals are added to obtain the second detection signal, and the first and the second detection signals are supplied to a phase converting circuit 16 to obtain a phase detection signal.
