Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out horizontal orientation by heat treating a film formed by applying a polyimide polymer and by rubbing the heat treated film with flocked or napped cloth while spreading inorg. powder of Al2O3, SiO2, CaCO3 or boron carbide. CONSTITUTION:By a spinner method a polyimide polymer material is applied to the surface of an electrode plate 1 obtd. by forming an electrically conductive transparent film of In2O3 or the like on the surface of a glass plate 5, and the applied material is heat treated at about 80-400 deg.C to cause dehydration and ring closure, whereby imide bonds are provided to form a polyimide polymer film 7. The plate 1 is then set on a table 2, and the film 7 is rubbed in a state where the tip of flocked or napped cloth having about 0.05-10mm. thickness contacts with the surface of the plate 1 while spreading inorg. powder 10 of AlO3, SiO2, CaCO3 or boron carbide from a nozzle 9. By this method a uniform orienting film with heat resistance is obtd.
