Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent pre-ignition while output reduction is being suppressed in such a way of delaying ignition timing only at the time of continuous driving with high revolution and high load by providing detectors for the number of revolution and the load in the engine and a delay angle controller equipped with a delay device. CONSTITUTION:A control switch 9 and a delay angle controller 10 composed of an interruptor 6 in which an advance point 7 is put in parallel to a delay point 8 are connected to the ignition circuit 1 of an engine. Then, the operating circuit 12 of a timer 11 to control opening and closing a control switch 9 provides a delay device 19 as well as an engine number of revolution detector 13, a load detector 15, a cooling water temperature detector 17. When driving with high revolution and high load goes by for the determined time, the timer 11 operates through the delay device 19 and opens the control switch 9, and ignition timing induces a delay angle through operation of the delay angle controller 10, so that it can suppress overheating of an ignition plug 5, prevent occurrence of pre-ignition, and hald output reduction at its minimum.
