Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the performance of an internal combustion engine by detecting the state of acceleration quickly and setting a proper correction to the amount of fuel to be increased and to the period of time in which the fuel is increased.
CONSTITUTION: The output of an opening-degree detection means 1 to detect the opening degree of a throttle valve is supplied to a fuel-increasing correction timing detection circuit 2 to detect the correction timing of fuel increasing during the opening state of the throttle valve, that is a state of sudden acceleration. The fuel-increase correction timing detection circuit 2 is provided with the first opening-degree changing-rate detection circuit 3 to detect the changing rate of the opening during the opening state of the throttle valve according to the output of the opening-degree detection means 1, and a comparing circuit 4 to issue an output when the changing rate of the opening is greater than a fixed reference value. At a sudden acceleration, a current as a fuel increasing signal is given to a fuel-increasing signal generating circuit 5. A fuel-incrasing correction inhibiting means consisting of an opening changing-rate detecting circuit 6 and a fuel-increasing inhibiting circuit 7 is provided for inhibiting the correction of fuel increasing when the state of acceleration is changed into that of deceleration.
