Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a captioned alloy having improved strength made from Mn, Zn, Al, Ni, residual Cu and unavoidable impurities.
CONSTITUTION: This white Cu alloy has a composition including 7W10wt% Mn, 15W30wt% Zn, 0.1W3wt% Al and 0.2W8.5wt% Ni, and further if necessary, containing one or both of 0.2W2wt% Pb and 0.2W3wt% of Co and/or Fe, and residual Cu and unavoidable impurities. The white Cu alloy contains α phase at room temp., while it has much β phase generated therein at high temp., therefore better elongation processing may be carried out at room temp. and high temp. And also said alloy has improved strength and better weather resistance.
