Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the formability as well as the machineability and corrosion resistance after sintering of titled powder obtainable by containing respectively specific amounts of one or more kinds of S, Te, Se and Cu as alloy components in Cr- base stainless steel powder.
CONSTITUTION: Elements of one or more kinds of 0.05W0.30% S, 0.01W0.10% Te, and 0.01W0.10% Se and 0.01W0.05% Cu or 0.01W0.05% Cu and 0.01W1.0% Sn are contained as alloy components to Cr-base stainless steel powder. The Cr-base stainless power obtained in this way has superior moldability and at the same time the sintered body obtainable from this powder has good machineability and corrosion resistance.
