Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the stability of a resistance change of the low resistance layer of an electrostatic recording body to temp. and humidity and to stably obtain a clear image by irradiating the recording body using photoconductive zinc oxide in the layer with light when voltage is applied. CONSTITUTION:At least one of org. acid, org. acid anhydride and a compound having a nitro group is added to photoconductive zinc oxide and a binder as principal components to form a low resistance layer or low resistance layers on one side of both sides of the support of an electrostatic recording body. In the formation of an image, the recording body is irradiated with ultraviolet rays or white light beforehand, and voltage is applied, or voltage is applied while irradiating the recording body. By the irradiation the photoconductive substance in the recording body lowers the resistance, and a clear electrostatic image is obtd. by applying voltage.
