Abstract

A film for laser transfer recording having high resolving power. The recording film is provided on a clear substrate (1) with a recording layer (2) which contains a binder that is highly resistant to oxidation, fine particles which impart a high blackening concentration and which absorbs heat, and a heat absorbing agent which is highly absorbent over a wavelength region of the laser beam used for recording. Further, the recording layer (2) may be coated with a protector layer, which consists of a high polymeric organic substance.
