Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent image at a low output by employing a heat sensitive recording material having a heat sensitive recording layer containing a coloring agent changing thermoplastic grains and light into heat, in image recording using light having high density energy. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of emulsion containing thermoplastic grains such as copolymer grains of vynilidence chloride and acrylnitril, carbon black, oxides of heavy metal and other coloring materials which convert light into heat and, in addition, a water soluble binder, plastics, a surface active agent and so on to be added if necessary, is spread on a transparent support. The mixing ratio should be such that 1pt.wt. of thermoplastic regin is mixed with 0.1-10pts.wt. of coloring material. A body to be recorded is attached to a recording layer made of the heat sensitive material thus obtained. Light with high density energy is then radiated on the transparent support side. The portion to be exposed is attached and transferred to the body to be recorded, so that a transferred image can be obtained. Based on this method, limitation imposed on the body to be recorded is minimized and negative as well as positive images can be obtained simultaneously.
