Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain recording materials cpable of recording/erasing informations reversibly with temperature and recording image informations efficiently with light by a construction wherein a light reflaction preventing layer is formed on a light absorbent heat-sensitive substance comprising a spcified matrix matereal, an organic low molecular material and a light absorbing agent. CONSTITUTION:On a light absorbent heat-sensitive substance comprising (A) a matrix material made of polymer selected from a polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride copolymers, vinylidene chloride copolymers and ester, (B) an organic low molecular material selected from (un)-saturated aliphatic acids having C10-30 (ester, amido, ammonia salt) such as palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid or the like, which are dispersed in the component (A), and (C) a light absorbing agent such as dyes or pigments, a (D) light reflection preventing layer (preferably formed of oxides such as PbO, calcogen compounds such as GeO2, or halogen compounds such as AgF) is formed thus providing the desired recording material. In addition, mixing ratio (in weight) of the components A and B is preferably in a range of 1:1/16-1:1/3.
