PURPOSE:To provide a method for recording information, which comprises irradiating a thin layer comprising principally photoabsorptive Sb lower oxide with a light source such as laser, whereby low energy recording is made possible and mechanical strength as well as chemical stability are improved by enhancing optical recording concentration ration and contrast ratio.
