CONSTITUTION:As for this oscillator, an oscillation part 4 and a supporting part 7 are formed in one body by means of photoetching, etc., driving electrodes are provided on almost all the surface of the upper and lower parts of the oscillation part 4, and they are led out to the supporting part 7, respectively. The shaded parts 5, 6 of the figure are positioned at the node of the long side longitudinal oscillation, and at the adjacent part of the short side longitudinal oscillation, respectively. When the overlapping substance of the shaded parts 5, 6 is increased or decreased by a laser, etc., the frequency of the short side longitudinal oscillation and the long side longitudinal oscillation is adjusted independently, and coupling of two longitudinal oscillations is varied. As a result, a satisfactory temperature characteristics are obtained by only adjusting the frequency, without changing the aspect ratio.
