Abstract
PURPOSE:To adjust the resonance frequency of the major oscillation and frequency temperature characteristics to design values respectively, by providing adjusting electrodes on a turning fork arm. CONSTITUTION:On turning fork arm, a coarse adjustment electrode 6 for resonanc frequency of major oscillation, a fine adjustment electrode 8, and a frequency temperature characteristic adjustment electrode 7 are respectively provided. First, the electrode 6 is adjusted with laser beam and coarse adjustment is made so that the resonance frequency for the major oscillation is close to the design value. The electrode 7 is similarly adjusted to set the frequency temperature characteristics to be the design value. Succeedingly, the electrode 8 is similarly adjusted for fine adjustment to be made coincident with the design value for the major oscillation resonance frequency. Through the adjustments, the electrode 8 of special shape can be used not to change the frequency temperature characteristics of the major oscillation of the coupling turning fork quartz oscillator can be adjusted to the design values, respectively.
