Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing process and to reduce the cost, by selecting the desired electrode among the electrodes of piezoelectric oscillator and adjusting at least one of frequency-temperature characteristics and oscillating frequency. CONSTITUTION:An electrode d1 is formed at the center of one plane of a crystal oscillator D, and the electrode d2 at the center and the electrode d3 at the circumference are formed on another plane. When switching circuits S1, S2 are on and electrodes d2, d3 are taken as effective electrodes, the coupling with the profile oscillation system having negative temperature coefficient is made strong. Further, when the circuit S2 only is on and the electrode d3 is taken as the effective electrode, the coupling with the profile oscillation system is coarse and the characteristics with positive temperature coefficient are shown. Further, the electrode d2 only is taken as the effective electrode, intermediate temperature characteristics are shown. On the other hand, the adjustment of the oscillating frequency is made by using a trimmer capacitor for the load capacitance C2. Thus, by using a crystal oscillator low in the manufacture cost, the oscillation circuit having the specified oscillation frequency and temperature characteristics can be obtained.
