Abstract

PURPOSE: To make thin-walled hollow membranes without collapsing their shapes and to decrease the fraction detective of modules by putting liquid into said membranes, keeping both ends sealed and assembling a hollow membrane module in this state.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid 2 is put into thin-walled hollow membranes 1, and both ends of the membranes 1 are tied and sealed by cords 3. Plural pieces of the membranes 1 are then inserted into a cylindrical body 5 having a discharge nozzle 4 in the intermediate part and formed to a large diameter at both ends in such a way that both ends of said membranes project respectively from both end opening faces 6 of the body 5. Flow stops 7 are packed into the clearances between the inner ends in the large diameter parts of the body 5 and the plural membranes 1 and adhesive agents 8 are filled up to the opening end faces 6 of the body 5. After the adhesive agents 8 have set, the projecting parts of the membranes 1 are cut off and the liquid 2 is removed from the inside. Flanges for connection having nozzles are mounted to the end parts of the body 5.
