Abstract

The water tower has a tubular, cylindrical or polygonal central column (1). This is enclosed at the top by a reservoir or by the containing vessel built from two rotationally symmetrical conical components. These cones are connected by their greater edges and their connecting circumferential faces are joined. Both components are made as prefabricated components held together by circumferential hoops. Both components can be identical and they can be held together by clamping bolts and the sealing is ensured by seals between the two faces.
