Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform correct automatic focusing with all lenses of different rates of rotate-extension by providing a driving mechanism for a focusing optical system and its control circuit to the barrel side of interchangeable lens. CONSTITUTION:A focus detector 1 provided to a camera body K receives the light from an object past a focusing optical system 2 of a lens berrel, and decides whether the focus of the object is matched or deviates forward or backward. The signal thereof is outputted to k3, k4 out of the terminals k1-k4 provided to a mount flange surface Kf. The terminals l1-l4 connected to the terminals k1-k4 one the camera body side are provided to lens barrels B1, B2, and the above-described signal from the body side is inputted to a control circuit 3. The circuit 3 drives the system 2 at the correct rate of rotate-extension corresponding to each lens by way of a motor M and a driving mechanism G.
