Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the device which permits adjustment of finder diopter by constituting an eyepiece lens with two groups of a negative lens and a positive lens from the pentagonal prism side, fixing the positive lens group and moving the negative lens group forward or backward along the finder optical axis.
CONSTITUTION: Light arrives at the eye by passing through a mirror 2 from a photographing lens 1, then through a focal plate 3 and condenser lens 4 out through a pentagonal prism 5 and through a negative lens 6 and positive lens 7. With this finder optical system, the negative lens 6 is moved forward and backward by a negative lens moving member 8, whereby the finder diopter is adjusted. Disposition of the negative lens and positive lens from the finder image gives a larger change in the diopter owing to the movement of the lens and is therefore more advantageous. In addition, the movement of negative lens close to the finder image gives a larger change in the diopter owing to the movement of the the lens. Also, fixing the positive lens on the outer side has the advantage of making shielding of the finder easier.
