Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a focal diaphragm having the range finding part by which focusing can be made easily, by providing an uneven body having a finer structure than the prism constituting the split image type range finding part, on said prism.
CONSTITUTION: The prism-form structure body 2 having the prescribed diffraction in the range finding part effectively leads the light beams 9, 10 being at angles of 4° and 6° to the optical axis among the luminous flux from the photographic lens 8, to the eyepiece mainly. Also, the other prism structure body 3 leads a light beam from the opposite direction against the optical axis, to the eyepiece. In this way, since two light beams 9, 10 from the lens exit pupil are utilized, as for a bright lens having small F No., the range finding of high accuracy can be performed by use of both the light beams 9, 10, and as for a dark lens having large F No., it is possible to find the range by use of the light beam 9. In this way, a focal diaphragm having the range finding part by which focusing can be made easily can be obtained.
