Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the finder bright and prevent the out-of-focus of the finder and film plane by leading only the infrared light to the distance measurement system through the use of a dichroic mirror.
CONSTITUTION: The light incoming from the subject through an objective lens 1 is divided to visible light and infrared light by using a dichroic mirror and the visible light is sent to a focus glass 3 and the infrared light to a mirror 4. The infrared light is then detected with a detecting element 7. In this way, the leading of the visible light into the distance measurement system is obviated and the finder becomes bright. By detecting the out-of-focus of the visible light and infrared light from the objective lens and changing the focusing position, the out-of-focus of the finder and film plane may be eliminated through the distance measurement by the infrared light.
