CONSTITUTION:A reflecting optical image 5 from an original incident via an optical system 3 is converted into a video signal 7 at a photo electric conversion circuit 4. The video signal 7 converted is given to a signal processing circuit 8, this is binarized, and black signals present at the region other than the original are fixed to white signals in the binary signal with a control signal 15 and outputted as to transmission video signal 16. The control signal 15 gives the output of an original detector 9 to an original width forming circuit 12 and it is obtained by applying the output to a video signal control circuit 14. Thus, since no video signal other than that on the original is transmitted, no dirt on the original can be printed on the reception paper.
