Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain enhancement of dehydration efficiency and effective reutilization of released water, in dehydrating a sludge mixed with a coagulating liquid, by a method wherein a sieve drum is provided in a preceeding stage and released water of a dehydrator and washing waste water of a filter cloth are treated by said drum.
CONSTITUTION: A sludge recovered from a sewage treating plant or the like is stored in a tank 1 and, after crude dusts therein are preliminarily removed by a strainer 2, transferred to a mixer 5 by a pump 4 and, herein, supplied with a coagulating liquid from a tank 7 and, further, supplied into a coagulating, mixing and concentrating tank 6. The sludge coagulated in the tank 6 is supplied to a rotary sieve drum 22 to filter free water. The coagulated sludge is supplied to a belt press type dehydrator 12 in a next process and free water is stored in a tank 13 and, thereafter, supplied to nozzles 14, 18, 19 for washing a filter cloth of the sieve drum and the dehydrator. Further, the released water of the dehydrator 12 is supplied into the sieve drum by a pump 16.
