Abstract

PURPOSE:To burn fuel always at a constant air-fuel ratio regardless of change in the fuel flow rate, by connecting a valve for proportional control of the flow rate of combustion air and fuel and a subsidiary flow control valve in parallel in a fuel supply passage, and feeding fuel through the subsididary flow control valve at a flow rate capable of causing complete combustion of fuel. CONSTITUTION:The fuel is supplied to a combustion burner 1 via a liquid-fuel supply pipe 10 having a valve 5 for proportional control of the flow rate of combustion air and fuel, while atomizing air is supplied to the burner 1 via an air supply pipe 11 having a blower 8. Further, combustion air is supplied, by a blower 4, to the burner 1 via a valve 3 for proportional control of the flow rate of combustion air and fuel, and the above two flow control valves 3, 5 are interconnected by a link 12. With such an arrangement, when an electric, opening-degree instructing signal is given to a control motor 2, the valves 3, 5 are driven respectively to the opening of instructed degrees while keeping a predetermined proportionality. That is, they are moved simultaneously from their fully closed position to a fully opened position in a continuous manner.
