Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress noise between synchronization tip and pedestal without hindrance by synchronizing signal by detecting noise at the first threshold level within the tip of synchronizing signal and further detecting noise at the second threshold level at synchronizing signal part. CONSTITUTION:Regenerated video signal (a) from a VTR is 1H delayed by a 1H delay circuit 2 and supplied to a noise slicing circuit 3. Further, the signal (a) is inputted to another noise slicing circuit 4. In these circuits 3, 4, noise component extending beyond the tip of synchronizing signal of the signal (a) is sliced, and the synchronizing signal is separated by a synchronizing separation circuit 5. Clamp pulse (c) of respective pedestal part and suppressing pulse (d) of horizontal synchronizing part are added to a noise detecting circuit 10. On the other hand, the signal (a) is added to the circuit 10 and a changeover switch 11. Noise is detected by comparing the noise within the tip of synchronizing signal and synchronizing part with the first and second threshold levels and noise is eliminated by controlling a switch 11 by output of the circuit 10.
